Pipe Calculator – HVAC Chilled, Hot and Condenser Water Pipe
Sizing Software Ver 1.0.1
Purpose
The purpose of creating this type of program is to reduce the overall time spent designing piping systems. The result is a reduction in time required to look up from piping charts and books the piping information. The software is reasonably accessible from the desktop and laptop computer at the designer’s and engineers fingertips. Therefore, the expenditure for the software has a payback of less than one hour of an engineer’s billing time.
Setting the Highest Standard
Pipe Calculator sets the highest standard in the world of chilled, hot and condenser water pipe size calculator programs. By giving you the ability to perform residential, commercial and industrial HVAC water pipe sizing, it gives you something no other program of its kind can give you. Download the demonstration version today and see why Pipe Calculator is unparalleled in its field.
Features
Overview
Pipe Calculator is a program that computes optimal pipe sizes for HVAC chilled, hot, and condenser water systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Pipe Calculator sizes pipes or evaluates pre-sized pipes with two methodologies: The Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen and Williams equations. Methodology The equations used in Pipe Calculator: Two modules are used for sizing pipes are the Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen and Williams modules, either at the user's option. The program determines optimal pipe sizes or evaluates pre-sized pipes from ½-inch (12.7 mm) to 12-inch pipes (304.8 mm). All the information you enter into Pipe Calculator is checked for correctness, and the calculated results are returned so Pipe Calculator can create formatted, useful output. These two modules allow the program to obtain exactly the same results that you would obtain manually. Therefore, the output can be quickly and easily verified by hand so that you can have the utmost confidence and assurance in the program output.
Program Input Pipe Calculator is a true Windows program complete with toolbars, hyperlinked help and PDF Manual. All data is checked during the calculation period. The type of information required for computations are: Type of piping material, fluid type, minimum and maximum velocity constraints, fps (m/s), desired maximum head loss for the pipe, ft of water per 100/ft (kPa), and the desired fluid flow through the pipe in gallons per minute, gpm (L/s) with the Darcy-Weisbach module, and with the Hazen and Williams, the additional "C" value. Program Output Pipe Calculator provides a detailed report of the piping computations for review or printing. The information contained in the report is: Fluid flow rate, gpm (L/s), Velocity, fps(m/s), Density, lb/cuft (kg/m3), Viscosity, CentiPosies (cP), Reynolds Number, Friction Factor, Relative Roughness (e, ft), Roughness Factor (e/D), Inside Pipe Diameter, inch (mm), Nominal Pipe Diameter, inch (mm), Friction head of the pipe, ft of water per 100 ft (kPa) with the Darcy-Weisback formula and Friction head of the pipe, ft of water per 100ft (kPa) and velocity, fps (m/s) with the Hazen and Williams formula.
Calculated results are shown on the window for the designer’s or engineer’s use. One Version Available Pipe Calculator can be purchased in one form. The program cost is $95.00 Screen Snap Shots
